This holiday season was nothing short of amazing. We finally got our white Christmas and we owe it partially to the fact that we left the slightly warmer climate of Maryland. (Emphasis on slightly) A longer car ride than we would have preferred later, we arrived in Freeport, Maine. Known as the birthplace of L.L. Bean, the darling town is even more picturesque when covered in a blanket of white. Sprinkled with inns and bed&breakfasts there are numerous places to find lodging, but we were so lucky to have stayed in the L.L Bean House at The Harraseeket Inn. Check out some of the images of below!
The Sagamore Pendry, formerly known as the Recreation Pier, opened earlier this year in March as Baltimore’s newest boutique hotel. Long awaited, the surrounding community of Fells Point watched as the abandoned and rotting building was transformed into a breathtaking edifice with touches of old world beauty and the promise of a glittering night life. So a couple of weeks ago I attended The Knot Pro Workshop in Washington D.C. The day came with amazing speakers, presentations, and the inclusive feeling of being around industry professionals (something I’m endeavorimg to be) happy to network and share their wealth of knowledge. One of many things offered at this event was the opportunity to have a headshot taken professionally and of course I practically jumped at this chance! I received my photo back this morning and this is the result. Thank you to Love Life Images for their work, I love it!
This weekend past, I took another trip into Middleburg, Virginia but this time with my family to celebrate younger sister’s twenty-first birthday.
A favorite location of mine for its quiet and amazing service, for three days we stayed at the Salamander Resort & Spa. Sitting on 340 acres in the heart of the city, it’s the perfect haven of recreation of relaxation with activities to suit persons of all ages. Take a peek at a few of my favorite shots from that lovely couple of days!
I was thinking about summer and my take on an ideal color palette for a summer wedding! Although Greenery was announced as the Pantone Color of the Year, I prefer a lighter and brighter shade of green, Kelly Green. Perfect to pair with other light and bright colors such as cream, rose, and gold, this shade is perfectly accented by darker shades such as imperial blue and aubergine.
Blair Waldorf & Chuck Bass, monarchs of the Upper East Side, in the much loved and remembered show Gossip Girl thrilled and wowed us for five years with their fashion sense. From the halls of Constance Billard and St. Jude to the streets of Paris they demonstrated the way to be the best dressed and most talked about persons in a room. So here’s to Blair Cordelia Waldorf and Charles Bartholomew Bass and their epic wardrobes, long may they reign in our hearts and memories!
And I couldn’t be more excited. Trends will go as fast as they come, but I’m determined to ride this wave out till the newest fad reaches our shores. I’d like to take a moment to thank the universe that flower crowns seem to have found their exit, I never caught on to the flower child idea. The bridal spring designs for 2018 brought us many things that French and elegant fashions have praised for years. From skirts resembling that of the much beloved Grace Kelly’s own bridal gown to silhouettes that bring to mind Audrey Hepburn in all of her forms, with sprinkles of bows, pearls, and black velvet in between, here are just some of the gorgeous gowns to grace the catwalks this year!
